Here we are settling down for the sub-zero night in our tent at the Sele La (4290m). From left to right are Big Nose, the Zig-Zagger and Danger Dangles (both wearing our new Tibetan Buddhist necklaces). On the right are my daypack and the edge of my hiking boots. I always put my hiking boots near me inside the tent ever since our group had many things stolen near Kharta back in 1998 on the way to the Kangshung Face of Everest.
