Iceland 04 12 Pingvellir From Lookout [11 of 30]

The river Oxara snakes past the Pingvallakirkja church and the Hotel Valholl, seen from the Pingvellir lookout where Route 36 grazes the top of Almannagja. The pretty wooden church in the centre was one of the first churches built in Iceland, with the one we see today built in 1859.
