Mount Everest Photo Gallery - Best Photos - Everest from Gokyo Ri and Kala Pattar in Nepal, Everest North Face from Tibet, Everest East Kangshung Face from Tibet, Kathmandu Mountain Flight, and Nasa Satellute photos.

I have traveled to Mount Everest in Nepal in 1997 and 2000, the Mount Everest East Kangshung Face in Tibet in 1998, and the Mount Everest North Face in Tibet in 1998 and 2005.

1997-1 Everest, Lhotse and Nuptse From Kala Pattar In October 1997 I trekked to Everest in Nepal. I had a beautiful but cold morning on my trek to Kala Pattar. Here is a longer view of Everest, Lhotse and Nuptse.

1997-2 Everest and Lhotse From Kala Pattar From Kala Pattar in 1997 I had this magnificent view of Everest and a portion of the Lhotse Face.

1997-3 Nuptse Sunset from Lobuche In 1997 I stayed at Lobuche rather than Gorak Shep. It paid off with a magnificent sunset on Nuptse.

1998-1 Lhotse and Everest Kangshung Face In October 1998 I trekked through the Karta Valley to the East Kangshung Face of Everest. It was a beautiful trek and the east face is dramatically different from the South-West and North faces. Here is a view of the snow clad east faces of Lhotse and Everest.

1998-3 Everest North Face and Rongbuk Monastery After trekking to the East Kangshung face of Everest, we drove to the North Face and had a clear wonderful view. This is the face that defeated George Mallory three times in the early 1920s.

1998-4 Everest North Face Sunset The sunset on the Everest North Face from the Rongbuk Monastery was magnificent. By contrast, the sunrise was not very good.

2000 Everest Close Up From Ridge Beyond Gorak Shep In May 2000 I trekked to Gokyo and Everest Base Camp. Instead of Kala Pattar, I trekked towards Base Camp and climbed a ridge for a different perspective of Everest.

2005 Everest North 01 04 Everest Partially Visible From Rongbuk Mount Everest (8850m) remained hidden for the three days we were there. The most we saw was a glimpse of the right shoulder.

Nasa Everest From North ISS011-E-6104 Here is a Nasa view of Everest from the north, with the North Face of Everest perfectly displayed. Behind Everest are Lhotse, the Western Cwm, and the steep walls of Nuptse. In the centre, the Rongbuk Glacier snakes to the North Face while to the left, the Eastern Rongbuk Glacier snakes to the North Col.
