The Palacio Cantero, built in 1827, and now housing the Museo Historico Municipal, is just a block south of the Plaza Mayor on Simon Bolivar in Trinidad de Cuba. It has superb murals of classical scenes, scrolls, curtains, and pediments that have been painted over doorways and windows.
