On each end of the Capitolio in Havana Centro are two semicircular chambers that formerly housed the Chamber of Deputies and Parliament. Behind the podium in the Parliament Hall is a large bas-relief by Italian artist Gianni Remuzzi, showing various Cuban people and animals and other elements of Cuban life. The mahogany-paneled room is the National Library of Science and Technology. Salon de Simon Bolivar is one of the many impressive rooms within the Capitolio.
